Representatives of the Steering Committee of the Chamber of Private Enforcement Agents of Kosovo (CPEAK), led by the President, held a constructive meeting with the Minister of Justice and her senior staff. This meeting focused on discussing current challenges and identifying opportunities to further advance the profession of private enforcement agents in the country. At the center of the discussions was the need to update the legal framework, particularly the Law on Enforcement Procedure, to increase efficiency in implementing judicial decisions and other enforcement acts. The CPEAK representatives presented a series of concrete recommendations, derived from daily practice, aimed at addressing delays and simplifying procedures for the parties involved.
"This cooperation is essential to ensure a more efficient justice system and to increase public trust in institutions," one of the main participants was quoted as saying during the meeting.
A key point of the conversation was the further digitalization of processes. The Chamber emphasized the importance of fully integrating their electronic system with the systems of the courts and other relevant institutions. Both parties agreed to establish a joint working group to analyze and draft the necessary legal changes. This group will begin its work in September and is expected to produce a first draft within six months. Additionally, the importance of joint information campaigns to educate the public on the role and significance of private enforcement in the justice system and the country's economy was discussed. The meeting concluded on an optimistic note, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to close and continuous cooperation. The advancement of the private enforcement profession is seen as a crucial pillar for improving the business climate and increasing legal certainty in the Republic of Kosovo.
