"The Chamber of Private Enforcement Agents of Kosovo (CPEAK) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the profession and integrating into contemporary European trends by actively participating in the closing conference of the 'BESp' project, held in Tivat, Montenegro. This event marked an important chapter in regional cooperation, gathering key experts and decision-makers from the enforcement systems of countries in the region," one of the main participants was quoted as saying during the meeting.
The Republic of Kosovo was represented by the President of CPEAK, Mr. Mehdi Reshani, and the Director of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Justice, Ms. Feride Podvorica. Their joint presence demonstrates a strong inter-institutional partnership in Kosovo and a shared vision for strengthening the rule of law.
The conference provided an exceptional platform for strategic dialogue, where the delegation from Kosovo had the pleasure of holding meetings with influential figures, including the President of the International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ), Mr. Marc Schmitz. This meeting underscores the importance of international connections and CPEAK's aspiration to be an active part of the world's highest organization of enforcement agents.
At the center of the discussions were key topics that concern enforcement systems throughout the region. Participants transparently addressed current challenges, seeking common and harmonized solutions. Special emphasis was placed on achievements in the modernization and digitalization of enforcement services – an essential process for increasing efficiency, transparency, and citizens' access to justice. Furthermore, concrete opportunities for strengthening inter-institutional cooperation among the region's countries were explored, aiming for a more integrated approach in the future.
An important dimension of the conference was the academic and legal discussion. The participation of Professor Donike Qerimi and her debate on the Hague Convention on cross-border enforcement brought attention to the need for standardizing procedures for the recognition and execution of judicial decisions across state borders.
Participation in this event reaffirms the proactive role of the Chamber of Private Enforcement Agents of Kosovo in regional and international cooperation, actively contributing to the shaping of a modern, efficient enforcement system in line with the best European standards.
